Nilesat invites tenders for new satellite

Text of press release by Cairo-based satellite operator Nilesat on 4 June

    The Egyptian satellite company Nilesat intends to procure its next generation satellite, designated Nilesat 201, through an international tender, and invites qualified satellite manufacturers to submit firm fixed-price proposals for the production and delivery, on-orbit, of a high power communications satellite.

    The request for proposal (RFP) will be available by 20 May 2007 to satellite manufacturers with mature capability to deliver satellites of the class required for Nilesat 201.

    Tender documents can be received from the Egyptian satellite company Nilesat premises at 6th of October City, Egypt, or via email upon written request to Nilesat.

    Bid opening shall be on 9 July 2007 at 1.00 p.m. at Nilesat premises at 6th of October City.
