Damascus: Minister of Information Mohsen Bilal on Sunday underlined the importance of boosting and developing Syrian-Chinese ties in all fields, particularly in media.

The minister, meeting a delegation of Chinese Journalist Union, pointed out to the important role played by mass media in conveying facts and clarifying them to public opinion, expressing his ministry's readiness to enhance cooperation with Chinese media institutions in news, training and rehabilitation.

Members of the Chinese delegation reiterated China's support to Syria's right in restoring the occupied Syrian Golan, referring to the progress witnessed in Syria in all domains.
