Mohammedwesam Amer

Mohammedwesam Amer, who served as a Fulbright scholar and a visiting researcher at Harvard University's Centre for Middle Eastern Studies during the 2022 academic year, has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Languages at Gaza University in Palestine since 2020. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2020, he was a Marie Curie fellow and post-doctoral researcher at Newcastle University. He earned his PhD from Hamburg University in Germany between 2011 and 2015. Dr. Amer's primary professional interests in teaching and research revolve around the subjects of conflicts, warfare, and current high-profile politics, such as terrorism, security, and radicalization, particularly as they pertain to the Middle East and beyond.
