the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Al Masry Al Youm Publishing House in Cairo. He has held many distinguished positions and helped found a number of strategic centers internationally. Previously, he was the President of Al Ahram Center for Political & Strategic Studies in Cairo, and the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Al Ahram Newspaper and Publishing House. His PH.D in Political Science is from Northern Illinois University. He has been a research fellow at the Brookings Institution and the Belfer Center For Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. He has published extensively in both English and Arabic.
