Iran’s Ma’aref Radio launches English service

Tehran, 17 February: Radio Ma'aref [Islamic knowledge] has launched its English service on the ninth anniversary of the start of its work which coincided the birth anniversary of Imam Musa [the seventh Shi'i Imam] on Sunday 28 Bahman [17 February].

At the inauguration ceremony, [Mohammad Hoseyn] Mohammadzadeh, the director of Radio Ma'aref said: To commence the English service, Radio Ma'aref will have a three-hour production which is to be aired 24 hours a day [as received]. The programmes will focus on various subjects based on the requests of our listeners.

He said that the programmes will be digitally produced and aired and added that although the Persian section of Radio Ma'aref has not been digitalized yet, all programmes in the English section of this radio station will be produced and ai! red digitally.
